Another compact executive car from the Italian automaker, Alfa Romeo 159 was introduced at the 2005 Geneva Motor Show to replace the former 156. The attractive and sporty 159 expresses elegance and unparalleled dynamism. The car comes together with classic shield as well as the all-new unique circular lights that give 159 a distinctive style from the previous models.
The car is also furnished with large pillars around the rear window and also a small spoiler. Other distinctive features include its 16”, 17”, 18” or 19” alloy wheels in a variety of styles. It gives the car a sleek look. The exterior dimensions are imposing, thus providing spacious space in the interior. The 159 is a revamped version of the previous model, 156. Hence, 159 provides comfort and elegance of Alfa Romeo making the owners proud of owning 159. Alfa 159 ensures comfort, enjoyment and pleasure especially long journey. Alfa 159 offers four trim levels which are Distinctive, Progression, Exclusive and also the sporting features of T1. The 159 is available in eight different engines which are the four petrol and four diesels. The three petrol engines are 3.2 JTS V6 260 bhp, 2.2 JTS 185 bhp and 1.9 JTS 160 bhp. There are also the other four powerful turbo diesel engines which are 1.9 8V 120 bhp, 1.9 16V 150 bhp, 2.4 210 bhp which is available with four-wheel drive, and 2.4 200 bhp with the automatic gearbox. Alfa 159 uses less fuel and produces lower emissions. The 159 features sophisticated electronic systems that include ABS with EBD, ASR to avoid wheel slip, VDC to dominate the road, non-deformable floorpan, as well as solid and tough engine support structure that maximizes the passengers’ safety on the road. Furthermore, 159 has front, side and window bags, and for maximum protection, it is fitted with knee bags for drivers. Alfa has a proven track record.
